Sortie Rails 2.2 finale
Rails 2.2 is finally done after we cleared the last issues from the release candidate program. This release contains an long list of fixes, improvements, and additions that’ll make everything Rails smoother and better, but we also have a number of star player features to parade this time.
La version finale porte la version 2.2.2 et inclut entre autres le tant attendu framework d’i18n : chargement de traductions dans des fichiers Ruby ou YAML (sans recharger le serveur en mode développement !). Boom.

Coding: It’s Just Writing
Bonnes pratiques (datant de 1915) qui s’appliquent aussi bien à l’écriture qu’à la programmation : The Programming Aphorisms of Strunk and White.
Entre autres :
Omit needless words.
Vigorous writing is concise. A sentence should contain no unnecessary words, a paragraph no unnecessary sentences, for the same reason that a drawing should have no unnecessary lines and a machine no unnecessary parts. This requires not that the writer make all his sentences short, or that he avoid all detail and treat his subjects only in outline, but that every word tell.
